How to chat with MyGADs via Google Talk

You can use Google talk to chat with mygads.com and it takes less than a minute set it up the first time. Before you can start you will need to have both a account under mygads.com and a Google Gmail account.

First you will need to change your account settings. Once you are in the system, select the Acount → Settings menu as shown below.

At this point you will need to fill the field called “External Jabber” (Jabber is a technical name for the language Instant Messaging programs such as Google Talk are using). As shown below simply enter your gmail email address as shown below.

Now you need to go to your Gmail account. Click the “Add contact” link in the “Quick Contacts” are along the left side of the interface.

Clicking the link will pop-up a “Chat Invitations” window:

Type mygads@mygads.com and click the “Send Invites” button.

That's it! If you look again at the “Quick Contacts” area you will see mygads listed as one of your contacts.

You may now chat with mygads using Google Talk, just like any other contact.

If this is your first experience with Google Talk, here is how to proceed: hover the mouse cursor over the mygads contact in the “Quick Contacts” area. A small window will appear just to the right of the “Quick Contacts” area:

Click the “Chat” button and a chat window will appear in the bottom right, as shown below:

This window is a Google Talk chat window. With it you can begin chatting with your GAD.

Let’s try a simple example. To find out which GAD you are talking to you can type:

The GAD answers with its name. It's that easy!
