1. Registration

Connect to www.mygads.com

To register in GADs use the following steps:

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Enter the address of Teragram My GADs, (http://www.mygads.com).
    The Teragram MyGADs homepage will open, see Figure 1 below:

Signing up in GADs

Click either the Sign Up icon or button to register, see Figures 2 and 3 below:

Enter your user name, password, and Email address in the sign up page, then click the Create account button.

A message will appear telling you that an Email has been sent to you.

The message sent to you is an Email titled Welcome to MyGads, you need to click on the link provided to activate your GADs account.

2. Changing the Settings

Modifying your settings. Select Account -> Settings to enter the Settings dialog.

You can change the various settings of your account, including your password, Email address, etc. You must enter your Phone Number in this window in order to access you GAD using your cell phone.

3. Statements Management

Statements Management via Web-chat

You can add a Statement from the Web-chat by entering the Statement directly, or by using the add statement command.

To check the information that has been added to your GAD, you can go to GADs -> Statements to open the Statements dialog box. See figures 10 and 11 below:

You can also question your Statements to obtain answers.

Statements Management via Cell Phone

You can question your GAD and receive answers from your GAD using an SMS enabled cell phone. See the example provided in Figure 13 below:

4. Asking Questions of Tables

Teragram GADs supports tabular information management. You can add a table to a page, enter some information to the table, and then search on what you have entered. Use the following steps to develop a searchable table:

  1. Create a new page by selecting the Pages -> menu, see Figure 14 below:

  2. Enter the name of the page in the Create Page dialog box. See Figure 15 below:

After you enter the name for the page and click on the Create button, an empty page is created. You can add content to the page by clicking the Pages -> Edit menu.

Add a table of information to your page, e.g., phone book.

  1. Click the add-table tool in the toolbar. See Figure 18 below:

  2. Select Table used for tabular information. See Figure 19 below:

  3. Change the Columns to 2
  4. Set Align to Left
  5. Press the OK button

A new table will be added to your page.

Enter two entries into the table and click the Save button.

Exit the Page Editor and return to the GAD.

Now the data entered to the table is ready for questioning. See Figure 24 below:

5. More on the Page Editor

Besides managing tabular information, the GADs Page Editor performs other editing tasks.

Editing Regular Text

Add a new page named, e.g., my hometown, and edit it using the Page Editor (refer to the figures above). See the following three figures for more examples:

Editing Statements

Text entered in the Page Editor can be edited to be read as Statements. Statements are important information that can be searched from the GADs system. For example, edit the first sentence in the window to be a Statement using these two steps:

You can view that the selected text is changed by the Page Editor.

After exiting the Page Editor and returning to the GAD, you can question your Statement.

5.3 Link Two Pages

There are now two example pages:

You can create a link to the Phone book page in the page my hometown using the following steps:

  1. Open the Page Editor to edit the page my hometown.
  2. Select some text
  3. Click on the Hyperlink tool on the toolbar.

  4. In the Create Link dialog box, you can enter the name of the page as the destination address, e.g., phone book.
  5. Click the OK button to create the link.
  6. Click the Save icon in the Page Editor to save your page.
  7. Click the Exit icon in the Page Editor to exit the Page Editor.

When you return to the, e.g., my hometown page of your GAD, your can try the new created link.

6. Sharing Your GAD

A GAD is set to be private, by default. You can choose to share your GAD with one or more other people, or choose to make your GAD publicly accessible to all users.

Adding a Description to your GAD

You can add a description to your GAD enabling other users to search and join your public GAD. In order to enter, or to change the description for your GAD, use the following steps:

  1. Select the GADs -> Properties menu. See Figure 35 below:

  2. Type a description for your GAD into the GAD Properties dialog box.

  3. Click the update button. See Figure 36.

A status window will pop up to alert you that the description is updated. See Figure 37 below.

Sharing your GAD with Select Individual(s)

You can share your GAD by adding users to your GAD.

  1. Select GADs->Propertiesoption.
  2. Click on the Users link of the GAD Properties window. See Figure 38 below:

  3. The Users dialog window will open. Add other users by entering the user name. See Figure 39 below:

  4. Repeat this process as necessary.
  5. Click the Add button.

The permission level of the newly added user is set to read by default. However, you can change this by using the drop-down list of options.

Making Your GAD Public

You can make your GAD public by changing the permission level to public.

  1. Select the GADs -> Properties menu see Figure 35),
  2. Click on the Access Privileges... linkage.
The Public Permissions dialog box will open displaying the four (4) different public permission options.

7. Creating a new GAD

You can create many different GADs for different topics. For example, you can create three GADs, one for daily information, a second GAD for computer technology, and finally a GAD for travelling. To create a GAD, select the GADs -> New... option and enter the name and description for the GAD. After you click the OK button of the Create GAD dialog window, the GAD is created and the page will jump to the new created GAD automatically.
